Visitors

Welcome...

Visiting any church for the very first time can be an unnerving experience. We want to put you at ease. Your first visit at Choctaw will be refreshing and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience helpful teaching and preaching, a place where you feel welcome. Following are a few answers to questions you might have on your first visit.

What Can I expect on my first visit?

Starting at 9:30 and going to 10:30 am there are Bible study groups for every age. The groups include interesting biblical topics for anyone, infants to adults. These Bible Study classes are smaller group settings where you are invited to meet people and engage in a study and discussion that is more directly relevant to your age. The best way to get to know people is to visit one of these groups.

After the bible study classes are over, the main service starts at 11:00 am. Here you will enjoy a song service  followed by a clear, helpful and challenging Bible message from our Pastor and/or other pastoral staff.

Where do I take my children?

For Children, starting from infants and up, you will find fun and friendly, Bible-centered classes from 9:30 - 10:30 am. These take place in classrooms clearly identified along the main hallways of the church.  If at any time you need assistance please find a greeter, deacon or deaconess and they will help you with your need. There is also a nursery room with changing facilities where you may care for your little one's needs.

Am I expected to participate in the offering?

No, we don't invite you to Choctaw for your offering. We want our services to be our gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please do not feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest, this is strictly up to you if you wish.

Will there be a meal?

The first Saturday of the month and on special occasions, following the worship service, guests are invited to come an enjoy a meal in the Fellowship Hall.

What should I wear?

Come as you are, whether you are casual or formal. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” (1 Peter 5:5) In the end, if our hearts are wearing humility, we will think of our clothes as little as possible when we draw near to God together in worship.
